I am never happier than when I have a lump of clay to transform into something special. The forming of a useful and beautiful artefact from such a simple material is a magical act, and something that never ceases to amaze me.

I also enjoy encouraging others to appreciate the mucky qualities of clay too. So, I teach them how to change lumps of mud into their own kind of special. I get a tremendous amount of satisfaction from sending people home caked in clay with broad grins across their faces.
